TOVA CLARKE Brown

Documentary, with intentional guidance.

My journey with a camera began with a simple belief: the most compelling images are the ones that feel like a memory.

After spending time in SoCal and capturing everything under the sun with my iPhone, a dear friend of mine gifted me a film camera to 'try it out'. As it turns out, I can't put it down! My love for film comes from capturing a moment for what it is: no re-takes, no immediate feedback, just you in the moment, as you are. Film doesn't ask you to stop and pose, or check to see if you like the photo— Instead, once it's developed, you'll be brought back to the memory, opposed to remembering standing in front of a lens.

I want your photos to feel organic. The goal is always to enhance your story, never change it—the quiet glances, unscripted laughter, shadow work, and intricate details that keep photos looking human.
